Brodies Pub in Mohegan lake has been operating for over 25 years now and thats hard to come by these days. They offer a full menu including Pasta, Burgers, Sandwiches, tradition Irish food, Soups....and wings. There is a large dining room and fast and friendly service. It's easy to find right on the bust Route 6 section of Mohegan Lake and it's a must try if you're in the area.
The wings come in three sizes, Small (12), Large (24) and Extra Large. The prices are some of the most reasonable I've seen, the large comes in at around $12 and that is what we ordered tonight. The wings come with a good amount of celery and a large cup of blue cheese. Brodie's makes really great wings and for that reason I wish they would get more serious about them. The first thing we notice is the flavor selection....there is none. The wings come in one flavor, Traditional Buffalo, and although that is our favorite, there is also only one "heat" choice, which isn't very hot at all. The wings are cooked perfectly, crispy outside, moist and tender inside. The amount of sauce is very good as well. The size of the wing is your average wing size, not small at all. Their sauce seems to be a franks red hot with ingredients added and it works great. Very, very tasty, tangy sauce, with a medium spice.
Brodie'e Pub is a great family restaurant that we recommend. There is literally something for everyone on the menu, and for us it was wings. This is the best wing spot in the area in our opinion. With great prices and excellent wings, however no flavor or heat selection, we give Brodie's a 7 out of 10.
Pro's: Great Atmospere, Low Prices, Great Wing Size, Perfectly Cooked, Very Tasty Sauce
Con's: No Flavor or Heat Selections
Score: 7 out of 10
